Working with the Boise Centennial Rotary Club and the Eagle/Garden City Rotary Club, our club is leading the way to construct the Rotary Park on the Greenbelt, located on the new section of Greenbelt. The park will include 4 park benches, bike repair stand, dog waste bag dispenser, little free library and interpretive signs.  We will tell stories from Boise history, the 50 year history of the Greenbelt, the Oregon Short Line Railroad which crossed the river on our "Trestle Bridge" and facts about "Government Island", the site's location, where the US Army camped in 1863 to build Fort Boise. A central featured element will be a 1931 monument placed nearby by the Daughters of the American Revolution.

The site of the Rotary Park is on the newest section of the Greenbelt, just west of the "Trestle Bridge". This section of the path, running from Joe's Crabshack to Anne Morrison Park, is the final piece within the city limits on both sides of the river!

A portion of the $50,000 cost will be raised through the sale of commemorative bricks. Click here to go to the brick order form!  For more information, check the Greenbelt tab on the home page.  Bricks are still available!
