BUY, SELL, GIFT GREENBELT BRICKS!!
THIS WEEK - FOUNDATION AND GREENBELT
This week our President-Elect John Schubin will bring us up to date on the Rotary Foundation. We may even have some Paul Harris Awards to present! Also, we'll take a look at the video the Greenbelt folks have created to show at District Conference in the Club showcase segment.
WINE TOUR WAS GREAT FUN!
Twenty four Rotarians, family and friends enjoyed a beautiful day touring Urban Wineries and breweries on Saturday, April 29th. Tour included: Telaya, Coiled, Split Rail Winery, Bella Brewing, Barbarian Brewing, Meriwether Cider and concluded at The Yardarm.

GREENBELT UPDATE
Brick sales are coming in, although a bit slowly, because YOU haven't bought your brick yet! (One of our members has purchased FIVE bricks!) We have a limited supply and sales will close on May 31st so don't delay! Its been a busy week. Dave Gott and John B. presented the project at Western Treasure Valley and Meridian Rotary Clubs and Joes' Crabshack; TVCA is distributing brochures to bike shops; next we want to supply running stores. We have an appointment to present to George's on Tuesday. The Statesman will have an in depth article any day now and we've reached out to the TV stations. You may know that there is "Bike Barn" at the Saturday Farmer's Market. We can set up a table right there on the sidewalk with a display.....in lieu of our Lemonade Stand? The video we made is available to show and we're looking for groups to present.  Spread the word to all your friends and contacts! We have plenty of brochures ( and T-shirts!)
DISTRICT RAFFLE TICKETS FOR SALE
Its that time of year! District 5400's annual raffle tickets sales supports a variety of youth programs like Youth Exchange and RYLA. A portion will come back to the clubs to help defray the cost of attendance. We are each asked to sell 10 tickets. Please make checks payable to Boise Metro Rotary so we can send one check to District Conference.  The winner receives a $4500 AAA Travel credit. Whomever sells the winning ticket also gets $4500! So, if you buy all ten yourself, your chances improve dramatically! Tickets are due MAY 10TH!! ( I have been assured that we have been given the "good" tickets). There are also a number of lesser prizes!
ROTARY NIGHT AT THE ZOO
Steve Merrill from Boise Sunrise paid us a visit recently. First, he wanted to report that the Land Cruiser that was purchased for Gorongoza through a Rotary Global Grant that we participated in has been delivered! Second, he's invited us to participate in the second annual Rotary Night at the Zoo, which was so much fun last year as a Gorongoza fund raiser. This time it'll be a fund raiser for the Zoo, with a portion going back to the clubs who participate.  The event will be Thursday May 4th. Tickets will be $20 for adults, $10 for kids. This is a fun event for the whole family!!
