THIS WEEK - THE ROTARY FOUNDATION
We're always talking about "The Foundation", but do we really understand what it does around the world? Do we really appreciated how our contributions help to provide clean water in Africa yet build a park in Ada County, Idaho? the Foundation experts within our club will give us a complete run down!
GREENBELT ON THE MOVE!
Next Saturday is a big day for the Greenbelt project! We will officially kick-off brick sales and fundraising with an event at Telaya Winery at 3:30. Bring your family and bring your bike! We'll have a 6 mile bike ride on the Greenbelt with a stop at our site to plant our "Future Home of ...." sign.  We'll have a new supply of T-shirts ($10) and packages of brick sales brochures. Hope to see you there! (Watch for an e-mail with a lot more information!)
OUR FIRST LEMONADE STAND IS APRIL 8TH
Every Saturday through the end of May, our three Rotary clubs will take turns manning our "Lemonade Stand" on the Greenbelt. The idea is to stop passersby and explain our project and hopefully sell them a brick! We'll have two shifts 11-2 and 2-5. We'll keep it simple - jugs of juice/lemonade, small table, bag of ice, paper cups, bag of cookies. Alli Dunn is ramrodding the effort - she'll have a sign up sheet. We'll do it again April 29th and May 20th. The clubs will join for our final Saturday, May 27th. This should be a good sales promotion activity!
ROTARY NIGHT AT THE ZOO
Steve Merrill from Boise Sunrise paid us a visit last week. First, he wanted to report that the Land Cruiser that was purchased for Gorongoza through a Rotary Global Grant that we participated in has been delivered! Second, he's invited us to participate in the second annual Rotary Night at the Zoo, which was so much fun last year as a Gorongoza fund raiser. This time it'll be a fund raiser for Boise Rotary clubs. We can get a share of the tickets we sell. The event will be Thursday May 4th. tickets will be $20 for adults, $10 for kids. He has asked that one of us to volunteer to be the Coordinator for our club.
