THIS WEEK - TRANSLATIONAL MEDICINE
Jolene Anderson is a seasoned business strategist, sales and media executive, social entrepreneur, fundraiser for non profits and advocate for children at risk and education and former Charter Member of the Rotary Club of Magnolia in Seattle. She is an advisor for Kineta Bio, a translational medicine company whose mission is to provide research into new drug therapies which will improve healthcare outcomes for our global population. She will provide an insight into how translational drug research is addressing autoimmune diseases, viral diseases (like Ebola,Zika etc) and the newest research into a non addictive chronic pain program which is being tested by the military.

Our Fellowship Committee has planned a Fireside event at Jeff & Julie Dinwiddie’s home for Boise Metro Rotarian’s, plus a guest.

ODDS 'N ENDS
Our guests last week were Marta Dinwiddie, Maria Elena Schubin, Brian Ellsworth, Josh Loudenbach and Will's friend Isaac.........watch a re-schedule of our service project at Useful Glass........................we'll be presenting a $500 check to Borah High for their help in our Rose Sale project in early February..... lot of stories about our challenges with crappy weather...Scott has great socks.....Schools had been out since Christmas....kids forgot everything.... Marta told a great story about helping homeless folk.....we had fun with Zip/Zap/Zop and walk, jump, clap and stop.......great attendance last week in spite of the challenging weather - us intrepid Rotarians!!...Schubin left his boys at home...he needed a break!
