Last week we learned a lot about the Everyday Leadership program and specifically about our sponsor school, Garfield Elementary. Bob Rainville, from Boise Sunrise Rotary, has been passionate about this program right from its beginning in 2013. He explained that the mission of the program is to "increase the odds that low income kids will graduate from High School and go on". There are currently six Boise schools in the program, and 142 kids, with more to be added. Sonia Galaviz, our Teacher Liaison, told about the challenges these kids face and how our involvement can be critical to their futures. EVERYDAY LEADERSHIP IS AWESOME!
