Last week's picnic gathering of the Greater Boise Rotary Foundation (GBRF) was damped by lousy weather. Scott explained that the foundation was created in 2010 as a way for the 8 Rotary clubs in Ada County to support worthwhile local projects. Since that time the foundation has awarded over $280,000 in grants. The corpus is now about $850,000. Grant applications are now being accepted. It is anticipated that about $40,000 will be awarded this year. There is one "large" grant of up to $25,000and 3 or 4 smaller ones.
