You may recall that a couple of months ago we proposed to break the project into two phases: (1) move the DAR monument (2) build the rest. That plan had been enthusiastically received! Now, however, the folks at Park and Rec and Engineering have decided they don't like that plan after all. Their main concern is that the monument, if located at the site all alone, might be subject to vandalism. (The subject of vandalism has come up several times since we started). So, now the City will bid the entire project this winter, in hopes that the price will be more favorable. This project has taught us a valuable lesson - patience!GREENBELT PROJECT ON HOLD - AGAIN
