Hello Club Members,
Here are excerpts from an e-mail and some pictures I got from our Global Grant Scholar Cheyenne Quilter that I would like to share with the club.
Happy 4th of July weekend to the Rotary Club of Boise Metro! My summer is coming along much faster than I expected as I am prepping my dissertation research alongside an international move- so an exhilarating summer! I hope your summer has been going well!
My dissertation is coming along nicely, I believe. I am in the coding stages, as I did interviews with mental health specialists in the military who worked with military sexual trauma survivors, and so I am coding for barriers and facilitators that the mental health specialties see occurring to survivors during their recovery journey. It is fascinating work that I hope to build upon at the Uniformed Services University and would love to share with the Rotary club!
I also am sharing two pictures from these past months. In April, I was able to show my parents around London, which was wonderful. In June, England celebrated the Queen's Platinum Jubilee, and I had the chance to go to the "Trooping of the Colours" with a few of my school friends.
Thank you again for your personal support and the club’s support.
Cheyenne Quilter
