Boise Metro Rotary enjoyed a hands-on field trip this week to Boise Makers Shop, located on Overland Road, where we toured the facility and heard from manager Erik about the organization’s mission and offerings. Open for four years, Boise Makers Shop provides a welcoming space for people to learn, create, and build their skills.
Members learned about the shop’s monthly memberships, which include access to a full range of tools, safety training, and workshops designed for everyone from beginners to experienced woodworkers. The shop also offers women-only and men-only classes, providing an opportunity for participants to feel more comfortable and confident while learning to use the tools.
It was also wonderful to welcome several guests! Mary brought her little sister, Jaysa, through Big Brothers Big Sisters, along with a friend who recently moved to Kuna and had never attended a Rotary meeting. Anne brought her husband, too. We’re grateful to everyone who joined us and helped make this week’s gathering such a great experience!
