We've an interesting evening coming up theming around the topic of refugees, and I hope you can join us, Monday, March 19, 6:30 PM at the home of our fine host, Kent Johnson of Rarity Rugs fame! (210 Murray St, Garden City off Chinden...at the site of Rock Bottom Granite).  If you have a friend, spouse or partner who may be interested in the evening, bring them along!  Here's what's on tap:

Arrive, mingle, have a beverage and some snacks.

Introductions

Behold the Dreamers: quick overview, thoughts

Agency for New Americans presentation:  Julie Bayard, Outreach Coordinator

Visiting a refugee camp in Syria:  Kent Johnson

Rarity Rug tour:  Kent's home is brimming with thousands of handmade area rugs of all sizes and colors along with artifacts and art from around the globe.  Kent's on a mission to fund scholarships for kids who want to attend school, so all the proceeds from sales of his rugs go toward that.(maybe bring your checkbook if you're in the market for a rug!)

Please let me know if you can make it or if you have any questions.
Monday will be a great evening to connect with some interesting people and learn what it's REALLY like for a refugee to come to Boise.  I look forward to seeing you!
