The Annual United Way of Treasure Valley Children's Book Drive is March 11-29. Look around your house (or the grandkids) for gently used kids books and bring them to the next two Rotary meetings. We'll see that they get delivered to the drop off location. Then, April 1-5 you can volunteer to clean and sort the books.United Way provides these statistics:
- 61% of families dealing with financial instability lack books in the home for children.
- In 2022, only 60.4% of Idaho's third graders were reading at grade level.
- Providing a wealth of books to these children can help break the link between povert and poor economic outcomes.
