Thursday, April 21st from 4-6:30pm, the United Way of Treasure Valley's Women United group will be collecting items for our Homeless Student Basic Needs Pantry. This pantry serves roughly 60 schools throughout the valley. It's our hope to supply school workers with basic needs items for students who may be experiencing food insecurity and barriers to hygiene during this difficult time in our nation's history.
How to participate! Please plan to put your items in the trunk of your car and enter our parking lot on the east side of the building. You'll be greeted and given instructions to pull around back where we will unload your vehicle. You will exit the parking lot on the west side of our building. Items needed - Easy to eat items such as: nuts, seeds (pumpkin, sunflower), dried fruit, protein bars/snack bars/granola bars, tuna pouches (especially if they come with a utensil), crackers, peanut butter, cookies, beef jerky, popcorn (popped in an individual serving size bag), veggie straws, chips.
- Hygiene items: shampoo, conditioner, soap, razors, combs, brushes, deodorant, individually packaged toothbrushes, toothpaste, tampons, maxi pads, and lice kits.
- Items in highest demand: shampoo, bodywash (male & female), deodorant (male & female), hairbrushes, underwear.
