Our guest this week will be Trevor Caughlin......a professor at Boise State's Biology Department. He'll tell us about the importance of a healthy tree canopy.A tree canopy is the top layer of a tree or forest, formed by leaves, branches, and stems that cover the ground. They provide critical environmental benefits, including cooling air through shade and evapotranspiration, mitigating heat, improving air quality, and managing storm water runoff. Canopies also create essential, biodiverse habitats and reduce energy use in cities.
