We will not meet at The Ram on Tuesday. If you come, you will be alone with no lunch! Instead, we are encouraged to attend the Ethics in Business Luncheon on Thursday - the club will buy your lunch.

Just a quick heads up to let you all know that my son and his wife will be on ABC World News tonight with my little grandson, Leo. They were on Good Morning America last Friday, and have been trending online with the story about Leo's being able to see his mother for the first time. Leo was born with a rare disorder called oculocutaneous albinism. It affects his eyesight, and until he got his first pair of glasses, had never been able to see his mom and dad. When they first put his glasses on, his reaction was priceless. My son posted it to Facebook for family and friends to see, but it has been picked up and shared so many times, it now has had more than 50 million views! Just thought some of you might be interested.

Many thanks to Cornelia who stepped up to create our FaceBook page! This has been a large missing piece of our "Public Image". So be sure to visit our page and "like" it and "share it" with all your friends! At last check, Cornelia, John, Mary and Scott will have posting rights.
Reminder that our club has been approved by Rotary International to participate in the Open World Program. We will be hosting 6 Russians (from Siberia!) for 8 days, October 7-15. Our responsibility will be housing, transportation and programs. Cornelia is setting things up. Start thinking about how you will help with this incredible opportunity.
Cornelia is now officially looking for host families. Based on the size of your house, you might take more than one. You can also volunteer for 4 days instead of the whole 8. Let Cornelia know if you'd be interested! This is going to be awesome!
Our road trip last week to Boise TechMall was awesome! This is a fascinating operation - a new, three story building with 25 small tenants, most tech related. All working together in a co-op like atmosphere. Tenants, or "vendors" as they're called, offer everything from obscure computer parts, smart phone repairs, video production, legal and accounting services, coaching, software development, marketing services and more. While we were there, Rick H volunteered to try out the VR setup to ride on a roller coaster. You had to be there!
On Thursday we had a small gathering after work for socializing at the fairly new Rotary Sushi place on Fairview. Its called "Rotary" because of the conveyor belt that runs all around the bar carrying a wide variety of sushis. If you haven't been there yet, its highly recommended... by Rotarians.
