THIS WEEK - ROAD TRIP!
Don't come to The Ram this week! We're having a road trip to the Boise TechMall at 1550 S. Cloverdale Rd (near Overland). No box lunch this time, we'll have the opportunity to purchase something in their cafe. Phil Sigler will give us a tour. This place is hard to describe! You gotta' see it yourself.

"The value proposition of the Boise TechMall is unique. When you visit the Boise TechMall, all of your hi-tech business and consumer needs are met. We have facilitated local experts to grow your business and to discover emerging technologies."  Checkout the high tech website here.
ROBOTICS COMPETITION WAS A BLAST!@
You'll recall those impressive high school kids who showed us their robot as they prepared for this year's competition. This weekend featured the 2016 West Regionals at Taco Bell Arena. There were 30 teams from as far away as Texas and Minnesota. Our team "Team Taters" ranked #1 in the qualifiers but lost out in the finals.  The Arena was packed and the fans were really LOUD!

"In FIRST STRONGHOLDSM, two Alliances are on a Quest to breach their opponents’ fortifications, weaken their tower with boulders, and capture the opposing tower. Robots score points by breaching opponents’ defenses and scoring boulders through goals in the opposing tower. During the final seconds of the, robots may surround and scale the opposing tower.

OPEN WORLD IN OCTOBER
Reminder that our club has been approved by Rotary International to participate in the Open World Program. We will be hosting 6 Russians (from Siberia!) for 8 days, October 7-15. Our responsibility will be housing, transportation and programs. Cornelia is setting things up. Start thinking about how you will help with this incredible opportunity.

Cornelia is now officially looking for host families. Based on the size of your house, you might take more than one. You can also volunteer for 4 days instead of the whole 8. Let Cornelia know if you'd be interested! This is going to be awesome!
