This week we'll get an update from Judy Snow of the Chinden Gardners Club. You'll recall that we heard a presentation from that organization about a year ago, in fact, donated $250 to help with their wild flower "polinator project" at the Garden City Library. Now they are ready to introduce some bees to the project. Come learn how important bees are to our environment.

Denise Pimentel, our Rotary Exchange Student from Brazil, arrived safely last Wednesday. She'll be staying with the Jayo family for her first period. Her home is Sao Paulo where she lives with her doctor parents and her older sister. She says she's fluent in English (we'll find out if she speaks Idaho!) . And yes, Mary, she has a dog! She'll join us our meeting this week to introduce herself. Remember to include her in your family activities.

They are currently looking after approximately 250 vulnerable children of all ages at the Ledig centre. These kids are living in the village with either a family member or 'foster' parents. The care centre provides them with a meal after school, often the only meal for the day, and some activities. There are trained counsellors

Our Board met last week at Elmer's...we were reminded that our annual Rose Sale will be here before you know it!.......Cornelia is still looking for two more host families for our Russian visitors.....bad news: Polio has reared its ugly head in Nigeria (2 cases)............Fellowship Committee of Brian, Kerry and Shiloh are cooking some interesting events.....Ally's trip to Nigeria to deliver those "Shoes that Grow" was an "epic" experience......we'll be hearing more......last week's visit to the Bishop House was an interesting history lesson......Don't forget our meeting on August 30th - our District Governor will be joining us.....
