THIS WEEK - HOLIDAY MERRIMENT AND ELECTIONS
No formal program this week, but we'll enjoy some fellowship, elect next year's officers, shower Heather with gifts, present a check to Semilla Nueva, congratulate ourselves for our Polio Plus contributions. It will be busy! Lunch may also include beer! Yeah!
WE HAVE NEW LEADERS
After a hard fought campaign, we have our new officers for the next Rotary year:

President: Scott Swan
President-Elect: John Schubin
Vice President: Cornelia Sprung
Treasurer: Buck Harris
Secretary: Will Ellsworth
Sargent-at-Arms: Jeff Dinwiddie
Directors: John Biggs, Allison Dunn, Dave Gott, Cahill Jones and Jeff Larsen.

(We were pleased that nobody used Trump tactics!)
GREENBELT UPDATE
Cornelia and I, along with Michela Swarthout from Boise Centennial, met with Toby Norton and Kelly Burrows from the Parks & Rec Engineering office last Friday. The Greenbelt construction project is underway and so far on schedule for completion by August. Its a muddy mess! We reviewed our proposal and discussed the two possible options for the actual site. Now that you can see the exact path of the trail, they'll go out and take a look and let us know what they think of the options. Then we'll have the opportunity to take a walk to see for ourselves.

ROTARY ATTENDANCE - RULES OF THE ROAD
Hello, all! I thought it’s time I explained this to our new members and gave a refresher to others.  So here’s how this particular club secretary runs things:

Attendance is taken at every meeting and club assembly. That includes field trips, board meetings and special events like the Christmas party, Changing of the Guard, etc. We do not track attendance at service projects—although they are eligible for “make-ups”—which means that if you want to count it, you need to let me know. Attendance reporting gets rolled up to District 5400 and to Rotary International. Want to see your own attendance records? You can—it’s easy! Go to www.boisemetrorotary.org, log in, and click on Member Area in the top right. Then select the tab called My ClubRunner, and My Attendance. (If you see corrections are needed, just let me know.)

Put this on your calendar: December 29th.  5-9PM. The Botanical Gardens is asking for 15 total volunteers. This is family friendly and fun.

These are the opportunities:  Greeters: greeting and directing guests to activities in the Garden;  Admissions: greeting and directing guests to closest payment window;  Ticket takers: tearing and checking tickets at Garden Gate; Entrance Refreshments: serving hot cocoa and cider in the Folly;  General Support and Reliever: transporting cocoa and cider to folly, serving the volunteers refreshments, assisting where needed.

Please let Janice know what you'd like to do!

P.S. the weather will be warm!
