THIS WEEK - BACK TO STONEHOUSE  FOR SERVICE
This week we'll return to the Stonehouse and build hygiene kits for the families of the Agency for New Americans. See article below. Not too late to make a Costco run!
ANA PROJECT AUGUST 26
Each month the Agency for New Americans provides hygiene kits for the recently arrived families. The ANA resettles more than 200 new Americans annually into the Treasure Valley, utilizing an integrated service delivery system to assist new Americans on their path to resettlement and self-sufficiency. During our meeting on August 26th, we will assemble kits for 55 families. If you would like to help purchase the needed supplies, see the spreadsheet below and bring your donated items to the meeting on the 26th.

WE'LL BUILD POLINATOR BOXES 9/20
LET'S SPONSOR "SPLASH" AT GARFIELD!
We were all so impressed by the "Splash" program for third graders at the Treasure Valley Y, as explained last week by Ex Dir Mike, that our board has approved the idea of a $3,000 grant to restart the program at Garfield Elementary, where we are already involved with the Everyday Leadership program. Lots to do to get that started, but we'll plant the seed! You may even be able to go swimming, too!

ITS A "GO"!
WE'RE 40 YEARS OLD!
Did you know our club was chartered on August 14, 1985?? During this Rotary year we'll plan a bunch of events to celebrate our 40th anniversary. A committee has been formed and they're busy kicking around ideas using the theme "40" in everything we do. An idea for this fall is a event to make 40 pollinator boxes. Our annual Changing of the Gaurd event next spring will be a special look back at our club's history. Maybe new club polo shirts, logos, etc.
