If you recall Laurie Zuckerman’s presentation 2 weeks ago, you’ll know that the Boise and Boise Southwest clubs partnered to produce a video about their initiative to collect freon canisters. The impact of safely disposing this refrigerant is enormous: each little canister has the carbon footprint equivalent of 3.2 tons of carbon—like driving from Los Angeles to New York three times! The video was entered in the international competition through Rotary’s ESRAG group, and has moved into the Top Three. If we retain that spot, the project gets a cash prize!
