THIS WEEK - ANN HEILMAN - LEARNING LAB

Our guest this week will be Ann Heilman, Executive Director of the Learning Lab. The Learning Lab is a computer-assisted learning center for adults and families with children ages 6 and under. Students receive basic skills instruction including mathematics, reading, writing, spelling, GED preparation and workplace skills in a comfortable, confidential environment. Children are enrolled in an Infant/Toddler or Preschool Program. Students are placed in a class according to their ability and need. All courses employ computerized, interactive learning systems. Students learn to touch-type and use a computer while improving their basic skills.

Learning Lab is located in Garden City. Ann has dog, Mary, that's so smart it can tell time.
