Our speaker this week will be HannaLore Hein, Idaho State Historian. She'll talk about the history of women's suffrage in Idaho. Did you know that Idaho was the 4th state in the union to give women the right to vote?

 

Our Pass the Gavel Event is Tuesday!! We'll meet at the pavilion in Esther Simplot Park from 6-8 PM. Everyone should have received an invitation e-vite.  Deliberate Directions is supplying the adult beverages. Food is being provided by Life's Kitchen. We'll have speeches and music by the BiggsJones Band. Be warned that parking can be an issue here. This park is way busier than the planners ever imagined! You can park on Pleasanton or there's a Quinn's Pond overflow lot off Main St.  Bring your water craft!  The weather is forecast to be outstanding!

 

 

The monument was moved to its new base on Friday! There is some more concrete work to complete the base. Then the second batch of bricks and the interpretive signs will be installed. So, we are "this close" to completion!
