I'll be presenting the next iteration of Rotary 101 this Wednesday, March 26, from 12:30 to 1:30 Mountain time. If you would appreciate a better understanding of Rotary International, The Rotary Foundation, or your club's place in the Rotary world, please attend. And if any of your club's members (especially but not only new Rotarians) could benefit from a better understanding of the Rotary World, please share this invitation with them! To attend, follow this link to register.
Our Shark Pond grant recipient, Emmanuel Osei, who's company is known as GabyMot Anzaldi Enterprise, is doing amazing things in the world of recycling in Ghana. We are proud of his progress! He writes this:
Dear Esteemed Sponsors,
On this special occasion of World Recycling Day, GabyMot Anzaldi extends its heartfelt gratitude to you for your unwavering support and commitment to our mission of environmental sustainability and social empowerment.
Your generosity has been instrumental in transforming the lives of vulnerable communities while contributing to a cleaner, greener planet.
Through your support, we have been able to train and empower marginalized individuals—persons with disabilities, single mothers, ex-convicts, and others—to become agents of change in waste management.

The Greater Boise Rotary Foundation is excited to announce the recipient of the $25,000 grant to Life’s Kitchen for the purchase of a new delivery van.
The Greater Boise Rotary Foundation (GBRF) was established in 1984 by a group of local Rotary members who created an endowment fund to support area non-profits. Currently, eight Ada County Rotary Clubs contribute to the foundation, and make decisions about grant applications. In 2025, the clubs formed a partnership with the Idaho Community Foundation to manage the endowment.
Since it was founded 41 years ago, the Greater Boise Rotary Foundation has awarded $550,000 of support to Ada County non-profits. Recent large grant recipients include Boys & Girls Club of Ada County, Jesse Tree, Girls on the Run and Genesis Community Health.
For this service day, we'll be repotting seedlings for the Audubon Society. It'll be from 10 to noon at the Native Plant Network nursery at Comba Park (2995 N Five Mile Rd).
The job would be to take tiny seedlings that our volunteer growers from around the valley have grown from seed and plant them into larger containers, called conetainers. Watch this site for a sign-up sheet.
