Our speaker this week will be Inge Hadder, Chief Operating Officer of Neighborworks Boise. 

 

Its time to update our club bylaws. We need to establish procedures and responsibilities for the use of electronic payment systems like Venmo and debit cards. Last time we updated our bylaws, such conveniences didn't even exist!

 

Watch your email for the proposed Constitution and Bylaws. We'll vote on it at our meeting on the 24th.

 

For the next two weeks we're doing a Youth Clothing Drive for our friend Emmanuel in Kumasi, Ghana. He's indicated that his "agents", the disadvantaged women who collect discarded plastic for his recycling business, are always in need of clothing for their young children. We have arranged for shipment of a box of clothing we might collect.

 

District 5400 is accepting applications for Rotary Foundation District Grants for next year! We have $60,245 to distribute to clubs in the 2026-27 cycle. The deadline for application is June 1, 2026.  A few things to remember:

The instructions will walk you through the process and they provide more information regarding grant parameters and limitations! Please take the time to read them.

 

The Rotary Foundation amount available to us for 2026-27 district grants is determined by contributions made by our Rotarians to Annual Fund-SHARE in 2023-24, and it is about $7,000 more than we had to distribute last year.

Everybody loved Bad Bunny!......We had some great bowlers, but Emmett had the biggest team....Cornelia won the Gutter to Greatness Award.....We're looking for the first Host Family for next fall's Rotary Youth Exchange....Golf Tournament Date is final - June 15th.....We appreciated learning about Boise as a "Resettlement City" from Nick and Laurie Armstrong of Glocal.....
