Our guest this week will be Ilana Rubel, Idaho State Legislator representing District 18. She'll be running, unapposed, for her 8th term. She'll tell us what's on the legislative agenda this coming year.
We fiished our painting project at McMillan School which started earlier this year. A good crew painted all the states on two large maps of the USA. They look awesome! We learned some geography, too.....where the heck is Delaware?
Karlotta, our newst RYE student, joined us for the painting project...she's a hard worker!......Dave T. introduced us to Zoe Larson, representing the Idaho Veteran's Parade on November 14th.....Jazzy Jenkins updated us on the Camp Rainbow Gold summer camps........big increases from last year...watch for details on the fundraiser for the new lodge......4 of us had birthdays in August....Dave's son had TWO "buzzer beaters" in the same game! How can that happen?.....Bret completed a 50 miler in DuBois, WY......watch for Boise East Rotary Chili Cook-off on October 10.....Rotary Minute was about a District Membership workshop in the Philippines.....Kami Bixby our RYLA student from last year told us about this year as a Counselor. She's off to College in Maine, Biochemistry......it was fun to learn "Here We Have Idaho".......
