Many of your clubs have registered for the Lobsterfest and it is your turn to register auction items and purchase tickets for the celebration brunch on September 11, 2021. If you have charitable ambitions for your club please promote the Lobsterfest. It is a very easy way to engage and raise money for your club's causes. Use creativity in selecting your auction items. Most Rotarians are reasonably affluent are looking for items beyond household appliances or accessories. Sharing your hobby or sport is a good way of offering something at low cost to you and unique to the buyer. Home cooked meals, airplane rides, raft trips, painting lessons, second homes all make good auction items. Reply or call 1-208-412-9411 if need auction ideas. The event will take a 10% fee to fund its expenses. Auction items are split between the donor and buyer clubs 50/50. Clubs can have guest charities solicit donations. Time is slipping buy, get your club engaged in a very easy, pre-packaged fundraiser and do some Rotary good!.

Many thanks to Liberty Thompson for bringing us up to date on JEMfriends. They currently have two girls homes with a boys home scheduled to open in Nampa very soon. They are also starting an "apartment readiness" program. JEMfriends, started by Liberty in 2008, works with young people who have "aged out" of foster care and lack some "life skills" to go out on their own just yet. If you would be interested in sharing your skills or being a mentor, contact Liberty. She was accompanied by her one year old, Jayna!.
