Not less than two hours a day should be devoted to exercise and the weather should be little regarded. If the body be feeble, the mind will not be strong.

GREENBELT CLEANUP NEXT SATURDAY
Join us for our monthly Greenbelt Cleanup next Saturday. Guaranteed to be a nice day for a walk. Maybe lunch afterwords at the Sandbar? Now that we've had a few spring days there's probably a ton of garbage to pick up!
Meet at Joe's at 11:00AM. Oh, and bring a book.
JEFF AND CHARLENE VISIT STOCKHOLM
Jeff Larsen and I recently joined a Zoom meeting with The Rotary Club of Stockholm International as a part of District 5400’s Building Goodwill and Better Friendships Tour.

Billing themselves as the only Stockholm club offering English-only meetings, it was easy for us to join in. The meeting format was casual and the members were genuinely interested in getting to know us.

Their guest speaker, Anders Eriksson, spoke about District 2350’s Youth Exchange Program and how their district is embracing new ideas within the program. For example, they are embarking upon a virtual exchange with students from District 4420 Brazil. They will have Portuguese/Swedish language lessons twice a week, social media events, and Rotex events for the virtual exchange students.

JOIN WILLOW LANE WORK PARTY!
On Saturday, April 10th, join a Rotary work party to weed, clear, water, mulch and more at the new Rotary Wetland Park and Preserve at Willow Lane. Last fall there were lots of seedlings planted that need to be nurtured.  And we will be preparing the area for more work to come as we plan for the walking path and associated amenities. There are two time slots 10-12 and 1-3. Please sign up in advance here:

ROTARY GOODWILL AND BETTER FREINDSHIPS TOUR
So far our club’s “tour” has already spanned a whopping 10,000 miles and we’re just getting started! We have visited Rotary clubs right here in Boise, further out in the Treasure Valley, in Walla Walla and as far away as Stockholm, Sweden. (Jeff and Charlene couldn’t contribute Happy Bucks in Swedish Kronor! LOL!) With virtual meetings, you can now “visit” parts of the world you’d normally never get to! Let’s keep it up. Visiting other clubs is a lot of fun and gives us good ideas to steal.  😉

I also have a better idea about some of the prize categories. Here’s where we should focus:
*Club with the most outgoing visits
*Club with the most incoming visits
*Clubs who collaborate with their meetings (example: all Tuesday noon clubs hold a joint meeting)
*Any club or individual who does service with another club
*Anyone who visits a club outside of D5400 (training purposes doesn't count)

So let’s get out there!
ITS DISTRICT RAFFLE TIME!
Details on how to actually purchase your tickets will be forthcoming!

It is district raffle time! Your chance to win!

We are having our annual triple grand prize raffle. Your club's President Elect (or another officer) has been mailed the tickets. Make sure your club is actively promoting the raffle. If your club isn't promoting the raffle, please email karlklokke@gmail.com.

If you are inactive Rotarian; hopefully you still have enough Rotary in your heart to support our raffle.

It is the only major fundraiser of the District. Every club and every Rotarian is obligated to participate. The purchase of least one $10  ticket (or a book 10), isn't too much to ask from every Rotarian.
