The first known Labor Day celebration was held in New York City in September 1882. President Grover Cleveland made it a federal holiday in 1894, shortly after the Pullman Strike.

Happy Labor Day!..........Nolan had to cancel a trip to Chelan due to smoke........ the Greenbelt is clean..........The Rotary Minute was about educational materials in Bangladesh....Will's daughter is waiting for college offers to play basketball......Alan has a new Gold Wing....last week we had house sitters from Tanzania as our guests......wonder what they thought of the presentation......Cornelia is attending the annual Zone Institute in Phoenix...its to train and celebrate District leaders.....
