THIS WEEK - PLASTICS - ZOOM
Our speaker this week will be Scott Phillips. His topic will be "Aren't Plastics Fantastic!"  He's a Professor in the Micron School of Materials Science & Engineering at Boise State University. Maybe he can update us on the Orange Bags?? We'll meet via Zoom this week since the hotel had a conflict with the room. Here's the link: https://us06web.zoom.us/j/87376460014?pwd=eDNNMTZOVHJuQ2R4cUhOTUlHVVNZUT09
LET'S PICNIC SATURDAY!
Church picnic clip art free clipart imagesNext Saturday we'll have our Spring Picnic in Ann Morrison Park. People who would like to join a group doing our monthly Greenbelt Cleanup should come at 11:00. Those interested in fellowshipping and picknicking, come at 12:00. This is a bring your own everything event.  Don't forget your chairs! You might want to bring something to pass, but not required. We'll have cornhole available for a tournament. Bring other lawn games that you might have. Families and friends welcome! The location is the field by the diversion dam at the eastern end of our Greenbelt section. There is plenty of street parking.

DISTRICT RAFFLE TICKETS
Every year the District sells Raffle Tickets, the winner to be drawn at District Conference. This is the District's major fund raiser for the year. Each club will get a share, too! And look at those prizes!! Every member is given a book of ten tickets and is expected to sell them all! They have to be turned in no later than May 15th ish. You can send funds to the club via Venmo or write a check payable to Boise Metro, and get it to Scott Swan.

DISTRICT CONFERENCE MAY 20
Plans are nearly complete for this year's District Conference in beautiful Sun Valley, May 20-21. District leadership promises a great event, including the Saturday evening banquet (featuring Brian Shul, a fighter pilot with a fascinating story)  and a variety of service projects on Saturday afternoon. The best advice is to stay at the Sun Valley Hotel so you don't miss any of the action! We have a block of rooms reserved  - $179/ night. For more details check the District 5400 website. Early registration ends March 31. Every Rotarian should attend a District Conference. Our club will reimburse attendees $100, toward your bar bill. Cornelia will be creating a "giving tree" of gift cards for the silent auction.
MARK YOUR CALENDAR
Mark your calendar for these upcoming events:
