THIS WEEK - IDAHO FOLKLORE
Our program this week will be Steven Hatcher, Folk and Traditional Arts Director at the Idaho Commission on the Arts.

The Idaho Commission on the Arts, a state agency under the Office of the Governor, enables access to the arts, arts education, and Idahoans’ cultural and artistic heritage. At the ICA we provide administrative and management services for Idaho’s not-for-profit arts organizations, helping to stabilize their operations so that they can reliably deliver their public programs in the arts.
PLANTING PROJECTS NEED VOLUNTEERS
Boise Metro Rotary will be participating in "ReLeaf Boise" Day, a project to plant trees in the public right of way sponsored by Boise Parks and Recreation. I am looking for volunteers to sign up for this. I know it seems early but the City needs an accurate group size in order to plan how many trees each group will need. I would appreciate hearing from anyone who thinks they can fit this into their schedule. It will be on April 25, from approximately 8am-1:00pm. If you respond yes, and later have to cancel, I can find someone to take your place.

We also are participating in a Rotary tree planting day on March 28th from 10:00am to noon. This involves planting 1000 seedlings for riparian restoration along the Greenbelt near the Willow Creek Athletic Club on Saturday.  More details will be coming soon. Thanks to all and I am hoping to hear back from a few of you in the next few weeks.
VISIONING UPDATES NEXT WEEK
The Vision Committee is pleased to share with you the visioning results for the Boise Metro Rotary Club. This exercise was completed in the fall of 2019 to set a 3-year vision of what Boise Metro Rotary would strive to look like in 2022. This Vision was approved by the Board in December 2019.

Our goal now to achieve this vision is to enable and empower the Rotary Committees to adopt this 3-Year Vision and establish realistic annual goals and activities in the pursuit of this vision.

Our regular lunch meeting on last Tuesday of each month in 2020 has been designated for Club Business. Our next  Club Assembly on January 28th will be dedicated to hearing from the different committees about 2020 plans to pursue these goals. The Vision Committee realizes that this is short notice and fulfilling these elements may require more volunteer time and/or resources than your committee currently has. Consider the meeting on January 28th as an opportunity to share the tasks your committee has been given and to ask for their help to meet the challenge by joining your committee.

ODDS 'N ENDS
Byron Folwell's talk about ADUs last week was very interesting......I thought about putting my Mother-in-Law in the garage,  but my HOA won't allow it...........Bret announced more grandbabies, totaling 12 pounds and 40 inches...I wondered if it was the same mother..........Dave G. collected lots of happy $.....Guess Who's Coming to Dinner was a big success......learned a lot about our fellow Rotarians....and what great cooks we are......we'll do it again the spring.....
