Rotary District 5400 is pleased to launch Ignite, its inaugural leadership program. Applications are open through November 1. This immersive eight-week experience will help participants inspire others, foster growth, and increase their impact within Rotary and beyond.
The Process:
The program is limited to 25 participants. Clubs may nominate members or encourage them to apply, and each sponsoring club must be prepared to cover the $235 program fee. The program fee covers food, materials, and training.
Clubs are encouraged to think broadly about potential participants: a past leader who would welcome a new opportunity or a member with leadership potential who may not yet see themselves as a leader. Regardless of background, participants will gain practical skills and relationships they can use within Rotary and beyond.
Our guest this week will be Past District Governor Ben Nelson. As PDG, Ben is chair of the District 5400 Foundation Commitee. We know that our club is well on the way to meeting its Foundation goals, but what about the District as a whole?
Last week's challenge from Bret and Roger was a huge success! By the time the dust settled, we had raised $3,231 for Polio PLus! And don't forget, the Gates Foundation will match that 3:1. Good job, people!
We still need to elect a club President for the Rotary year beginning July 1, 2027, following Carrie. It is an honor of a lifetime to be President of a Rotary Club! It's not as daunting as you might think, with members always willing to lend a hand with whatever needs to be done. And its a great way to hone your own leadership skills. Talk to Carrie if you're interested in pursuing the idea! It'll be fun!
