THIS WEEK - D.G. JENNIFER
We will have the honor this week of welcoming our District Governor, Jennifer Deroin. Jennifer is in the process of making her "club visits", which requires many miles visiting all 44 clubs! She's long time member of the Nampa Rotary Club and is the office manager for a large accounting firm. She will tell us about things going on around the District and the goals she wants us to work on.
KTVB COVERED OUR PROJECT
In case you missed it, last week KTVB did a nice piece about  Everyday Leadership. Our club was mentioned for our support!

GREENBELT UPDATE
Yes, we are still working on the Greenbelt project!  Since it has become evident that moving the DAR monument  is a scary proposition for prospective movers, we're going to split the project into two parts. Phase I will be just the monument; Phase II will be all the rest of it. So a contractor will be able to concentrate on the monument without having to deal with the bricks, landscaping and the rest.  Parks and Rec is already working with a contractor to figure the costs, but it looks to be in line with our original estimate. Once we move the monument, we will have learned two things: (1)  We actually could move it without incident, and (2) we'll know what it cost. We also believe that if we have to raise any more money, it will be easier since we'd have shown some progress. No, we don't have a time frame. Stay tuned!
