Rotary Online Leadership Training - The new Leadership Fundamentals program can help Rotary and Rotaract members build the skills they'll need to take on leadership roles. This online program presents key leadership skills and is available through Rotary's Learning Center only for members. Leadership Registration Link . Deadline to register is February 6, 2023.

February First Tuesday Service Project – February 7 lunch! We have a fun, hands-on service project lined up. We're assembling hygiene kits for homeless students. Shawn Reilly, Director of Community Engagement at United Way is going to come help us with assembly. We have all the supplies we need. Please remember to bring the items you signed up for. February Special Speaker – February 28^th lunch. Topic: Electric Vehicles! Linda Engle from the Idaho Conservation League will be our speaker. We will even have some Electric Vehicles of members and guests on display for you to check out. This topic is sure to be of interest to your network. Invite a prospect, neighbor, friend. We will be collecting RSVPs so we can adjust the food order.

THIS WEEK - MAKE HYGIENE KITS - Feb 7th

February 7th Service Project: Hygiene Kits for Homeless Students Noon at our regular meeting time.

We have approximately 3,500 homeless students in the Treasure Valley. These kids are still going to school, but do not have stable housing at night. They are often couch surfing, sleeping in cars, or sharing an apartment with multiple families. Can you imagine being in high school and not having access to a shower, toothbrush, or deodorant? Sadly, food stamps and EBT do not buy these types of products. Let's help kids feel confident and send them to school with dignity and commit to build 50 Hygiene Kits! United Way will be distributing the kids through our school teachers - the ones who know.

POLIO PLUS SOCIETY HONORED

Last week we welcomed Norb Murray from Boise Southwest Rotary. He is the District Polio Plus Society Chair. Our club is well ahead of our year's goal for Polio Plus. After giving special recognition to Tyson Wise for his commitment to the Polio Plus Society, Norb invited all our members who belong to the Society for recognition.

HELP FOR BUTTERFLIES

Last Saturday we assembled a great crew to not only do our monthly Greenbelt Cleanup, but to also plant some Milkweed seeds, which were provided by City Parks and Rec. If they germinate, it will be a boon for butterflies this summer. Most of the seeds were place around our Rotary Park. While there, we searched for our bricks!

The Rotary Foundation has announced two Temporary Response funds: Pakistan and Ukraine......our Rotary minute was about a youth drug program in the Philippines....next Wednesday Fellowship will be Feb 15th at The Modern at 5:30......watch for the Golf flyer.......
