Hope your Thanksgiving Holiday was filled with fun times and good fellowship. December is Rotary’s Disease Prevention and Treatment Month. Yes, we work hard to eradicate Polio. But, you may ask, what else is going on in this area of Rotary focus? I encourage you to check out the December issue of Rotary Magazine. It highlights the great work happening in Africa to address Malaria. The Malaria-Free Zambia project is Rotary’s first Program of Scale Grant Recipient. The $2M grant was matched by World Vision US and the Gates Foundation, each giving $2M for a total of $6M. Malaria killed 627,000 people in 2020. 80% of whom were under 5 years old. Malaria kills, but it can also be prevented, detected and cured with the right investments. With your donations to The Rotary Foundation, you are a part of that investment in prevention and treatment. And for that, I thank you! JEM Friends Christmas Gift Wish List.
