THIS WEEK - ADA COUNTY SHERIFF CLIFFORD
Matt Clifford, who has been with the Ada County Sheriff’s Office since 2000, is now Ada County’s 39th sheriff. Clifford was appointed by the Ada County Board of Commissioners about a month after the former sheriff retired suddenly on May 31, 2021.

The Ada County Sheriff  is responsible for the largest law enforcement agency in the State of Idaho with over 750 employees and an over $80 million budget.

The sheriff’s duties include policing unincorporated Ada County and the cities of Eagle, Kuna and Star.

The sheriff is also responsible for managing the 1,224-bed Ada County Jail — and community supervision of about 3,500 offenders.

SIGN UP FOR GARDEN AGLOW
Our annual volunteering at the Winter Gardens Aglow will be Thursday, December 2. Last we knew, we still need volunteers for the following:

Welcome Table - 1
Children's Garden Entrance - 1
Garden Monitor - 2
Santa Elves - 4

Contact Tyson Wise if you can help!! We understand the weather is going  to be calm and warm that night!

MEET AFTER WORK ON WEDNESDAY
After work on Wednesday, pop into Payette Brewery for our monthly hour of Rotary fellowship! 5:00
VENUE SEARCH CONTINUES
Jeff and Charlene have been busy scoping out possible venues for our weekly meetings. Nothing against Life's Kitchen, but we'd like to be closer to downtown. There are many factors to consider: cost, guaranteed availability, technology, parking, meals, etc. Look for a report of their findings real soon!! We hope to make a move in January. THE BOARD WILL BE MEETING THIS WEEK TO CONSIDER THE FINALISTS!
ODDS 'N ENDS
We welcomed three guests last week, including Lisa Hecht who was a Rotary exchange student back in 1977.......lots of us happy to see rain and snow.......Mary is on her way to Honduras for scuba diving......congrats to Scott on his move to his new home...now he has an allergy to cardboard.....last week's speaker, Russ Weeden from Idaho Power, was very interesting!.....great job in Angel Band last week!!...Mark your calendar: NO MEETING NOVEMBER 23 OR DECEMBER 28.
