THIS WEEK - JOHN LODAL AND THE PARK
You may recall that in the fall of 2021 a Steering Committee was formed to shepherd the work going on at the Wetlands Peace Preserve. Treasure Valley Rotary clubs participated initially by committing to fund a series of 16 "Peace Poles" to be located along the path. It was during Jeff Larsen's term that we approved our design and contributed $1500 to the project. At the same time, John Lodal, long time member of Sunrise Rotary, proposed a more expansive design that might include seating areas, improved pathways and more. He committed his own resources with the wish that a part of the park would be to honor his now departed wife Pam.

After a series of set-backs having to do with rights-of-way and wetlands restrictions, John is ready to restart the project in earnest. He'll be here this week to bring us up to date.
