Our program this week will be Gary Shelley, Manager of Eagle Island State Park. If you haven't been there, its a gem of a park!

In spite of cool, windy weather the party went on! Thanks to Chef Jeff for grilling up delicious hot dogs, burgers and chicken. President John made some remarks about his year and gave special recognition to Michela who was named Rotarian of the Year!  The location of the event was special. Bret V. explained that our club built this park nearly 20 years ago, and more recently updated the interpretive signs and helped with the pollinator garden, which is beautiful!

Volunteers are needed on Saturday, June 23rd, to water the trees we planted at Hyatt Hidden Lakes. We'll join other Rotarians and meet there at 8:00AM. Contact Mary Reiman if you can volunteer.

 

Our program last week made me more paranoid than I already was......be sure to get your annual free credit report......check your accounts always....this will be our last month for supporting ANA with personal hygiene products...if you go to the dentist ask them for stuff......we'll have a new cause in July......our District Grant request for Everyday Leadership has been submitted..$7,000.......The Schubins are heading for the Rotary International Convention in Toronto next week....safe travels........Allan moved back into his house but he couldn't find his toothbrush........ask James about the results of his Bacon Test........D.G. Terry stopped by last week to present a wand to Michela for her help in resolving his various technology issues.....
