We have supported various efforts of JEMfriends over the years. This is an organization that supports young people who have "aged out" of the foster care system. At last week's board meeting, we approved a $5,000 grant to provide paint, carpet and labor to refresh one their rental houses. Plan on joining the work team the week of November 13. More details to follow. Note: I met Liberty at the house this week to check it out. Its a pretty simple project. Looks like one day for two experienced painters. One bedroom and a hallway. Date to be determined. Is there an experienced painter that wants to join in ? |
Do you need a putting green in your backyard? How about a maintenance free dog run? Our speakers this week will be Justin Toothman and Mike Scott from Idaho Greens and Lawns. Working with Celebrity Greens, this new Boise business can install premium quality golf greens, playgrounds, lawns and dog runs with artificial turf designed for our climate. Is artificial turf the wave of the future for a water-starved planet?
