SIGN UP FOR PICNIC IN THE PARK
We've volunteered to cover the School District's Picnic in the Park at Cassia Park the week of June 26. Many of us did this last year. Marie Hathaway from the school will be with us at our meeting of May 23 to explain. There is a bit of training we have to do first, so, if you're volunteering, please plan on a few extra minutes after our meeting. You can find the sign up sheet in our Google Drive, here. Look in the "Service" folder.
GOLF IS HERE!
Can you believe our first ever Golf Tournament is next Wednesday? Its an all hands on deck moment! Watch for the sign up sheet to remind you of what you signed up for!

YOUTH EXCHANGE UPDATE
Our club’s next Rotary Youth Exchange student has been identified! Andre is a young man from Italy and is registered at Timberline High School. Timberline is a new school for our club to be working with—we’re typically aligned with Boise High. If you live in that school’s zone and would like to host an exchange student, talk to Shiloh or Cornelia. We potentially have 2 host families for Andre already, but there’s opportunity to be host family #3 in the spring semester, i.e. this time next year. Seeing these amazing kids grow and flourish during their year abroad is a very rewarding experience… just look at Lou! ❤
WHATSAPP IS VERY COOL!
Many of our club members have put WhatsApp on their phones and joined the Metro group. We have found it to be a great way to communicate. Go to your App Store and download WhatsApp. It would be great if everyone was in the group! (If you don't know, WhatsApp is a Meta Platforms-owned mobile instant messenger and social media service).
RYLA APPLICATIONS ARE DUE IN TWO WEEKS
RYLA ( Rotary Youth Leadership Award) will be held in Twin Falls again this year, July 27 - 30. Every summer, 60-100 teenagers from around Idaho share a long weekend at the College of Southern Idaho for an intensive four day leadership camp. High school students who are incoming juniors to outgoing seniors are sponsored by Rotary clubs to attend the camp. Applications are due by May 20th. Our club has budgeted for two scholarships.  Do you know a high school student that might be interested? http://ryla5400.weebly.com/
