RAFFLE TICKET TIME!
Your club's raffle tickets have been mailed.  If you haven't received them by May 21; please call me at 1-208-412-9411.
 
Every District 5400 Rotarian should support the raffle  at the single ticket level of $20, a book of five for $100 or a book of twelve for $200. Promotion of the raffle is the President Elect's (or another designated member) responsibility. Promote the raffle within your Club and to nonmembers.

EPIC DAY OF SERVICE MAY 17
58,200+ Seedling Stock Illustrations, Royalty-Free Vector ...For this service day, we'll be repotting seedlings for the Audubon Society. It'll be from 10 to noon at the Native Plant Network nursery at Comba Park (2995 N Five Mile Rd). 
The job would be to take tiny seedlings that our volunteer growers from around the valley have grown from seed and plant them into larger containers, called conetainers. Watch this site for a sign-up sheet.

WHAT: 10TH ANNUAL UNITED WAY OF TREASURE VALLEY CHILDREN'S BOOK DRIVE to collect very-gently used books and new children's books for kids in Idaho, ages 0-18.  This annual event will provide over 20,000 books to kids who need them most.
 
WHEN: MARCH 31-APRIL 4 to volunteer to clean, sort, and distribute books
 
MARCH 1-28 to collect books through book drives, workplace events, or through other organizations
 
WHERE: 508 S. 8TH ST. BOISE, ID
 
WHY: TO IMPROVE CHILDHOOD LITERACY BY GETTING HIGH-QUALITY BOOKS INTO THE HANDS OF KIDS WHO NEED THEM MOST!

MISCELLANY AND MINUTIA
Lots of fun conversations at last week's Club Assembly......thanks to Alan for leading us in "Blue Skies"........DG Steve Gage was in the house.......our Rotary Minute was about a Florida club building beds for "Sleep in Heavenly Peace" (did you know that organization started in Twin Falls?).......Roger went to Tucson to see grandson's Lacrosse action......Stacy was happy that her favorite trail is open......go Red Sox.......Mary won a mountain bike race in Pendleton....Bret got sprayed by beer on his greenbelt walk.....for the Epic Day of Service we will replant seedlings. Details to come.
