THIS WEEK - FIELD TRIP - SOAP
This coming Tuesday, Sept. 17th, we will NOT be meeting at the Stone House, but rather will be taking a field trip to Christiane Rudd's business, Our Planet Soap! This is a local company that manufactures natural, cold processed soaps, hand made in small batches. All products are palm free and named after endangered animals.  10% of profits are donated to conservation efforts. A fascinating story about entrepreneurship!

Our Planet Soap: 6165 W. Clinton St, Boise, ID 83704

We will be eating lunch at Liberty Park nearby first, from 11:50-12:15 PM:

NEW CLUB OFFICERS ANNOUNCED
President Alli has announced that Dan McCown will be our new Foundation Chair and Shiloh Holmes will become club Vice-President.

GREENBELT PARK SHAPES UP!!
Saturday was a memorable day for sure! We had a crew of up to 22 people, Rotarians, friends and families, on site to install our landscaping features. We planted six trees, 17 rose plants and spread uncountable wheelbarrows full of mulch. Thanks to Cornelia for organizing the work party and a big thanks to Bob at Terra Vita Landscaping for the tools and equipment!  We also installed the Little Free Library. So now, what's left to complete the park is the DAR monument, the interpretive signs and the second batch of bricks.   Thanks to everyone who helped!!

KEEP TRACK OF YOUR HOURS
Rich Kirkham, our District Governor, has asked that we keep track of our Rotary volunteer hours. At the end of the year we'll  able to show that our clubs make a huge impact in our communities. Matt will be helping us to do that by managing a spreadsheet which you find on Google Sheets (here)
ODDS 'N ENDS
John was grinning ear to ear watching the Greenbelt park take shape.........Metro members who worked Saturday , keep track of your hours - that was worth three hours........lots of our members have mixed allegiances - BSU, ISU, Uof I......watch for an announcement from Tyson about this year's clean water project - famous muffins will be for sale........
