Just a reminder about our fellowship at Potter Wines tomorrow. They’re actually shutting down the space for us, so let’s fill that baby up! There will be wrapping supplies to wrap your JEMFriendS gifts and offload them to Cornelia for delivery. If you’ve got items for their girl/boy/food gift baskets, bring those too. MEET RETURNING MEMBER BARB MYHRE
After many years of full time motor home living all over the western US, Barb Myhre has hung up her Google Map to return to Boise for good.  She was a member of our club for many years. 2004 - 2011. Barb was born and raised in Minot, N.D. After graduating from Minot State, she remained there for the next ten years as their Alumni and Development Director. Barb's husband, Lon, was a career Army guy, responsible for recruiting and retention for the State of North Dakota. They moved to Boise is 2004 where Barb worked as Development Director for the BSU College of Health Sciences. She retired from that job in 2011, sold the house, and took us off in their RV for the next 7 years.

Barb was a member of the Minot Rotary Club and joined our cub when they moved here. Barb recalls that she and Bill Cafferty  were the originators of our rose sale program. Barb and Lon have two daughters and one grandson. Her hobbies are motorcycles, horseback riding ad volunteering. They have dog, "Mollie". a well traveled Shelty that they rescued.

Welcome back, Barb! (P.S. For Sale - one gently used 43' diesel pusher)
I WANT THAT JOB!
Last week's field trip to the Highway Department's testing lab was awesome! This is the place where they  pull, pound, stretch, break, crush, bake, cook, submerge, freeze all manner of road and bridge materials.

This is where they test every imaginable road material from striping, bridge abutments, asphalt, concrete, rebar, bolts, ice melt, rocks and gravel, fly ash and lots more!  They have this giant press which will stretch a piece of rebar until it snaps!
Many thanks to Central Lab Manager Tracy McGillick for giving us the tour. And Mary R. for setting it up!

WE'RE BELL RINGING DEC 22
We'll be ringing the Salvation Army bell on Saturday, December 22nd, at the new Albertson's on Broadway.  We have one hour shifts from 11 -6.  Last we heard, all the slots have been taken but you can show up to keep your fellow Rotarians company! Bring the kids! Let's hope its not too cold!
