YMCA SWIMMING
Treasure Valley Family YMCAOur program this week will be Mike Kapuscinski, Executive Director of  the Boise Downtown Y.
The YMCA's "Splash" program, also known as "Safety Around Water", is a water safety and swimming instruction program for kids, focusing on basic swimming skills and water safety education. It aims to equip children with skills to stay safe in and around water, reducing the risk of drowning. The program is available at various YMCA locations, including the Treasure Valley Family YMCA.
ZOOMED WITH EMMANUEL
Our meeting last week, at Albertson's, featured a Zoom conversion with Emmanuel, the young fellow in Ghana who we support through the Shark Pond/Entrapov program. Our initial support was in the form of a grant to purchase a tricycle "pick-up truck" to transport the plastics his "agents" had collected. He now has 50 agents working around his city collecting discarded plastic bottles and cardboard. He has acquired a "flaker" to reduce the plastic to a more useable by-product and he's in the process of constructing a building for his operation. There seems to be no limit to his enthusiasm and ingenuity!
