THIS WEEK - PREPARING FOR WORLD POLIO DAY
World polio day is October 24th. We'll learn about the effort to eradicate polio and think of a fund raiser for Polio Plus.
HYBRID MEETING WORKED WELL!
Last week featured our first Hybrid Meeting. Four of us met in person in Will's conference room, while another 8 joined via Zoom. the technology worked perfectly! Every could see and hear all the discussion. We even had our music with Cahill and John providing a familiar John Denver tune. There's plenty of free parking on the street and a cafe on the 4th floor for lunch.

ROTARY PARK UNVEILING OCT 4TH
Our official "unveiling" event will take place on Sunday, October 4th at 3:00PM. Our interpretive signs will be unveiled and the D.A.R. will dedicate their monument. The press and city officials will be invited to attend. Please mark your calendar now and plan on celebrating OUR new park! Bring a book! Do you know anyone who can make a quality video of the festivities?
LOBSTER AUCTION UPDATE
We did it! We have 14 items live on the Lobster Ghost auction site!
This is amazing and will be sure to raise some serious cash for our club. Thanks so much to everyone who helped get our club into the game!

A couple of the items—Fall Yard Cleanup and Sweets for the Sweet—you will continue to hear about, since they will be fulfilled by us as a club. If you want to help rake a yard or bake some cookies, please be sure Rick Holscher or Cornelia Sprung know about it.

The next step is for you to register yourself for the auction. It takes all of 30 seconds, and will allow you to bid on these items plus about 100 more—the selection is truly fantastic. Please register right now, while you’re thinking of it. If you register before the auction goes live on Oct 14, you’ll also be entered in a drawing for a $100 Amazon gift card.
