THIS WEEK - PESTICIDE REDUCTION
Danny Roop, Sustainability Specialist from the City Parks Dept will talk to us about their efforts to reduce the amount of pesticides used in city parks.

The Boise Parks and Recreation Department manages more than 1,600 acres of park land and more than 5,000 acres of open space across the City of Boise. To promote sustainable practices and stay on the cutting edge of public land management, the department embarked on a three-year pilot program in 2020 to study alternative land management techniques to reduce the use of pesticides on city-owned property. The pilot program was successful, and the practices have now expanded to most city parks.

SELL THOSE DISTRICT RAFFLE TICKETS!

Every year, our District sells raffle tickets in conjunction with the District Conference. Every Rotarian is encouraged to participate! Funds are used to finance District projects and a portion comes back to each club for their own projects.  The prizes are amazing! Remember, if you are the winner, and you had sold the ticket to yourself, you get double!
SNOW LEOPARDS AT THE FLICKS
In a roundabout way, Anne Woodhouse has made the aquaintance of a film producer from Nepal who has produced a film to show how the snow leopards have become endangered. Turns out, these beautiful animals like to eat goats, the primary livestock of the mountain people. This is about efforts to protect the leopards. See it at The Flicks on April 27th. Tickets are $15.00.
