JEMfriends EVENTS IN MARCH
JEMfriends reminds us that March is "Aging Out Awareness Month". They have announced two fundraising events we might be interested in:

  • Sat April 4th Pancake breakfast at Applebees by the Mall 8-10AM'
Also, March 14th, yard cleanup at the girl's home.

CELEBRATE THE FIRST ROTARY MEETING 1905
On 23 February 1905, Paul Harris, Gustavus Loehr, Silvester Schiele, and Hiram Shorey gathered at Loehr’s office, Room 711 of the Unity Building in downtown Chicago, for what would later be known as the first Rotary club meeting. Loehr's office has been recreated at Rotary headquarters in Evanston.
GET YOUR ROTARY LICENSE PLATE
As District Governor I want to encourage all Idaho Rotarians to get an official Idaho Rotary Branded License Plate and display it proudly on your vehicles.  The plate helps tell our story: Service Above Self. The plate also tells others a lot about YOU.  People recognize you for the good you are doing in the world and the tremendous good that we have done not only to eliminate Polio off the face of the earth but also to solve many problems globally and locally.

Many have asked for a form to fill out.  Here is a LINK to the form for your convenience. You can also go online and order directly from the Idaho DMV website.

Plates cost $60 and are prorated to your current registration.  You can also order souvenir plates for only $30.

Thanks for supporting the ROTARY License Plate Program.

Rich Kirkham

District Governor 2019-2020

VISIT TO THE GREENBELT
We stopped by the Greenbelt park the other day to remove the little free library so we can replace the top. It never should have been plywood. There are signs of spring as well as three deer visiting, including a young buck with only one set of antlers!

FISHING DERBY UPDATE - EVERYTHING YOU WANT TO KNOW
Hey Partner…the Fish Derby is on! Join us for the 2nd annual Boise Metro Fish Derby, where we'll award prizes for Biggest Fish and Most Fish Caught.
