THIS WEEK - TRIP TO ROOTS
This week we have a field trip to the new Roots Market 3308 W. Chinden Blvd (near the Riverside) .  We will NOT need box lunches; we will be purchasing food from their cafe and eating there after our tour (they don't allow outside food / drink).  Check it out here.

Roots is a neighborhood grocery store and café offering healthy bulk foods, fruits & vegetables, Re-fillable household cleaning & personal care products. We also offer full service deli items and fresh prepared meals. All available to shoppers looking for plastic-free, sustainably sourced and ethically manufactured products. At Roots, you buy the amount you need when you need it, so you can feel good about saving money while helping to reduce food and food-packaging waste.
INTERESTING SOAP
Our field trip to Our Planet Soap last week was really interesting! Congratulations to Chris Rudd for following her dream of making a difference to our environment!

KEEP TRACK OF YOUR HOURS
Rich Kirkham, our District Governor, has asked that we keep track of our Rotary volunteer hours. At the end of the year we'll  able to show that our clubs make a huge impact in our communities. Matt will be helping us to do that by managing a spreadsheet which you find on Google Sheets (here)
ODDS 'N ENDS
Sorry to see baseball season coming to an end...my teams did terrible.....went to the Zoo to check out the new Gorongosa exhibit...fun to see names of Rotarians with supporting bricks......still working on details for a fellowship event to show off the Greenbelt project.....
