THIS WEEK - LIVE!!!
HOORAY!! This week we'll meet in person for the first time in 16 months! Through the end of August, we'll be meeting at Life's Kitchen on Fairview (the old Marie Calendar's). Our board met there on Thursday and got the tour of the whole facility. They are working up to 24 people in their life skills program. The meeting room looks great! Best advice is to park in the back and go through the back door right into the room. We hope to see you there!

Second Lieutenant Cheyenne Quilter will be our program speaker on July 13th. Second Lieutenant Quilter is a newly-minted graduate of the West Point Academy and hails from Meridian, Idaho. In addition to her academic success, she has been very active in volunteer service with vulnerable populations both locally and globally.
In June this year, Boise Metro Rotary received notice that our Global Grant Scholarship Application for Second Lieutenant Cheyenne Quilter was approved by The Rotary Foundation. The award is in the amount of US$30,000 for her to pursue a Masters of Science program in War and Psychiatry at King’s College in London.
She is joining a distinguished group of Rotary scholars striving to make a difference in peacebuilding and conflict prevention, and we look forward to working with her. Boise Metro Rotary Club is serving as her International Sponsor Club. This is a joint effort with the Rotary Club of Edmonton who is serving as the Host Country Sponsor.
JULY 22 SERVICE PROJECT UNITED WAY
All Hands on Deck!

Mark your calendar for our July service project on 7/22. There is a lot to do so this one is all-hands-on-deck! The United Way is holding a literacy party and our Rotary club will be the volunteer labor to help pull it off. Watch for more details and a volunteer sign-up sheet soon. We will need Rotarians to do set-up, staff activity and game booths, read stories to kiddos, provide directions to kids and parents, and help with clean-up afterwards. Bring a friend or family member to help!

ARCHIVES NEED A HOME
Roger Brazier has been a member of Boise Metro for longer than almost anybody. Back in the day, somehow, he ended up the curator of some archival materials from our club, which now reside in the basement of his office building. He's not exactly sure what's there, or if its of any real value, but it really needs a new home. Maybe we should form a committee to go through the stuff and see what we should keep. What treasures await!!
