THIS WEEK - IDAHO YOUTH RANCH
Our guest this week will be Jeff Myers, VP Communications for Idaho Youth Ranch.

Nestled in the beautiful 258-acre Hands of Promise Campus in rural Treasure Valley, our state-of-the-art facility offers individualized care, education, and healing for youth aged 11-17.

Since the day Reverend James Crowe and his wife Ruby Carey Crowe started a ranch for "wayward boys" in the desert outside Rupert in the 1950s, Idaho Youth Ranch has grown into a state-wide multi-service agency serving Idaho's most vulnerable youth their families.

Our Mission

We unite for Idaho's youth by providing accessible programs and services that nurture hope, healing, and resilience.

Leading Edge For Youth

Idaho Youth Ranch created Leading Edge for Youth to provide a community to inform, support, and celebrate the incredible people working to support the mental and  behavioral health of youth.

WE PASSED THE GAVEL
Our Pass the Gavel event at the Cottonwood last week was a fine time! The power outage proved that Rotarians can roll with the punches! Thanks to Ben Kemper for his entertaining story telling! Mary had a long list of trivia questions which were very instructive! Congratulations to Janet for a great year and good luck to Mary for 24-25.

MISCELLANY AND MINUTIA
Well, I didn't know much about the Soroptomist Club of Boise......wow, they are so much like Rotary in their challenges and missions......interesting that it was created in 1921 by a Rotarian, Stuart Morrow, who was upset that his Rotary Club wouldn't admit women!...........Roger reports that we have reached our Foundation goals for the year!....but don't stop now......Mary and Paul had a great time in Slovenia and Croatia.......nothing definite yet, but we might be moving back to the Stonehouse.........the concensus among the Board members is that we do the golf tournament again next year.....net proceeds was about $9500 to support our youth programs.....there were some technical issues that need to be resolved......The Membership Committee is making plans for a "Membership 101" introduction to Rotary class.....Cornelia is looking for volunteers to join the District 5400 July 4th Parade entry.......RYLA is trying a new venue this year...in Cascade..... THE STAFF OF THE METRO BULLETIN WILL BE ON VACATION FOR TWO WEEKS, SO NO ISSUE UNTIL JULY 14....maybe
