THIS WEEK - SURPRISE!!
BIKE RIDE FUN!!
Sunday afternoon featured perfect weather for a Greenbelt bike ride! Among our band were Liberty and Daniel Thompson and a youth from JEMfriends. We started by walking the trail at the new Rotary Wetlands Peace Preserve. After a ten miler we enjoyed sandwiches at the RWPP.

GREENBELT REPORT
Our monthly Greenbelt cleanup was completed Saturday. We are always pleased at just how little trash there is! And, the weather was perfect and there was a LOT of traffic on the Greenbelt. At the Rotary Park we are pleased to report that the Little Free Library was well stocked. We also noticed that one of our rose bushes is a different color from all the rest!! If you want to read this month's issue of the Parks and Rec's Greenbelt
OPPORTUNITY TO HELP UNITED WAY
Last week we had a fascinating presentation from Christa Rowland about United Way of Treasure Valley Community School Strategy. Well, here's something we can do to support UWTV:

Thursday, June 17th from 4-6:30pm, the United Way of Treasure Valley will be collecting items for their Homeless Student Basic Needs Pantry. This pantry serves roughly 60 schools throughout the valley. It's our hope to supply school workers who are working through the summer with basic needs items for students who may be experiencing food insecurity and barriers to hygiene while school is not in session. And with a little luck, the pantry will remain nice and stocked for the start of school in August/September.

LOBSTER FEST IS BACK!
Remember how much fun we had with Lobster Fest last year? And remember how much money we raised for our projects? Well, Lobster Fest is back for 2021!! Mark your calendar for September 3-12. Our club has committed to participate by providing auction items like we did last year. Be thinking of unique things to offer! Cornelia will head up the effort, once again. (Last year we netted about $4300)
ODDS 'N ENDS
We felt sorry for Humorist/Artist Jeff Leedy last week who couldn't get his technology to work...but a good conversation nonetheless......Downtown's Todd Fischer is riding his bike across America to support Polio......Will took four ladies horseback riding last week....a prize they'd won at last year's Lobster Auction....Shiloh's Board met last week for a planning session...will be a fun year!.....still working on the Stonehouse to confirm our return date.....make sure you've marked June 29th for the Pass the Gavel event....we don't know where, but it's gonna happen!...make its on your spouse's calendar, too!
