Be sure to mark your calendar for Tuesday October 5th. That's the day that our District Governor, Russell Johnson, will make his official "Club Visit". We want to give him a special Metro Welcome! Since Life's Kitchen is not available for us on the 1st Tuesday of the month, we've arranged for a special luncheon at the Arid Club, 1137 W. River St. (Be sure to check out the dress code).
Come enjoy another morning in nature, near the river. bring friends & family to weed (gloves and shovel) and care for our Wetland Peace Park just off the Boise River?
Our October service project will be working on donated bikes at the Boise Bicycle Project.
Our November service project is going to be a partnership with JEMfriends youth to create 300 ornaments for a tree at the United Way Holiday Helper event. I need a little help with brainstorming, planning and logistics. Please reply to me if you want in on the organizing fun.
For our service project last Tuesday, a great bunch of Rotarians arrived at the new LEAP project on Shields Ave to stain a new fence. Problem was, the fence wasn't finished yet! No problem, we just stained what was there - about half of the finished product. Thanks to Tyson for organizing the event and providing some some interesting lunch options!

The country is growing and changing, and people are rising to the challenge to create better, healthier lives. Below are the top facts you should know about the Uganda water and sanitation crisis today and how you can help put it to an end.
The Muffin Sale will probably be from September 29th to October 6th. In past years my family has raised on average $10,000. With the help of the club, I'd like to shoot for $15,000.
I need help in 2 ways:
1.) Rotarians to sell muffins to their circle of influence
2.) Rotarians to help bake muffins
Please email me if you can help with item 1, 2 or both. Then I can provide you with more information.
